Summer Essentials

Summer is my all time favourite season because it's when I get to live in my bikinis and at the beach. Over the years I have had the time to figure out the real essentials needed for the summer season or for a hot holiday. If you remember all of these things when you go to the beach next, then you are bound to have the perfect experience!

Turkish Towel

So we all know we have to bring a towel to the beach otherwise how do you to dry off and sunbake? However, have you ever considered taking a turkish towel? I bring one everytime I go to the beach as not only does it fit in my beach bag easily, it's light weight and dries quickly. You can purchase them at various stores in different colours and patterns.

BIKINIS

Okay I have a confession to tell you all.....I'm obsessed with bikins! I mean, i just cant help myself and buy every bikini I like! (its an expensive habbit...whoops!). Now i know we all love Tigerlily bikinis (including me) but sometimes they are just not in our budget, so if you are looking for a reasonably priced one then try looking at Glassons, Cotton On and ASOS as they have great ones. And lets just be real for one moment, you can never have too many :)

Sundress

I literally live in sundresses all summer! They are just so easy to put on, comfy and light. The one I am wearing brand name is Bird and Kite and I absolutely love it. Its a really nice cotton fabric that doesnt make me hot when im wearing it, its white so it goes with anything and its a bit funky so I feel confident wearing it. Find a few sundresses so you have a selection to choose from everytime you go to the beach.

Bali Body Tanning Oil

For Christmas I got the Bali Body Watermelon Tanning Oil and it is amaaaazing! The smell is to die for and makes you smell like a sweet lollie! The consistency is perfect and doesnt make you feel sticky. I reccomend this to anyone looking for a tan oil as this one is also reasonably priced.

Sun Hat

I don't know about all of you but when i'm at the beach I just need a sun hat. I find that if I want to protect my face from the sun, a sun hat does the perfect job! Now you might be a cap person and thats totally fine, do what suits you as it does the same job. Be sun safe :)

Sunnies

I have a collection of sunnies as I like to have many different styles. Never forget your sunnies to the beach as it will just ruin your day if you do. I purchase most of my sunnies from Quay as they just always seem to have new, groovy styles out and they are inexpensive.

If you are interested in the rack, it was purchased from ebay for like $10 and it is perfect! I would definitely recommend anyone getting one if you are looking for somewhere to store them.

Beach bag

If you are going to the beach regularly then you need a beach bag. This one is from Seafolly and has been really good as its big but not too big and has a great summery colour. If you are in search of one I would suggest Seafolly as they have many different beach bags in all shapes, sizes and colours.

Havaianas

Don't do it, don't leave you thongs at home or in the car or you will regret it once you have to walk on the sand. I've made this mistake once or twice too many and i'm never going to make it again. Forgetting your thongs usually ends up you sprinting across the sand to cool your feet in the water from the hot hot hot sand. So to avoid this buy yourself a pair of havaianas and save your feet from the burn.
