I had a little bit of a staycation these summer holidays in Sydney which led me to find a few fun things that can be done on the weekends, during the holidays or in your free time. I just hate those days where you want to go out and do something but you can't figure out what so you end up staying home and annoyed. So, if you are ever looking for something to do then consider some of the following options as you are almost guaranteed to enjoy them.

Bondi to Bronte walk

Wake up one sunny morning, put on your walking/running gear, grab your swimmers, wallet, car keys, and drive to Bondi. The Bondi to Bronte is a great walk as it is only 6km return and has the best view of the water and nearby beaches. What is even better, is that you can reward yourself with a delicious breakfast from any local cafe and then enjoy a swim at one of the most popular beach.

Cafe Suggestions; Bondi Picnic, Lox Stock & Barrel, Speedo's Cafe, Harry's Bondi beach and Lamrock Cafe

Picnic at Clontarf

One of the best places to have a picnic is where you can also go for a swim. Clontarf is perfect for that as you can go for a swim in the harbour and enjoy a nice picnic on the sand or grass. So next time you are looking for a picnic spot why not try this. The water is amazing and you can even get yourself a coffee and/or ice cream from a little boat that comes by ever so often.

Moonlight Cinema

The Moonlight Cinema is held in Sydney at Centenial Park until 2nd April 2017. It's great for a casual night out with a group of friends, boyfriend, girlfriend or family as its not overly pricey ($16.50 per person) and gives you a different and fun experience.

What to bring;

- Big pillows

- Blankets and rugs

- Small beach chairs or bean bags

- Snacks such as popcorn, lollies & chocolate

-Aerogard

Palm Beach lighthouse walk

The lighthouse walk in Palm Beach is around 15 minutes or 8 if you fast walk. Its a nice scenic walk that leads you up to an old lighthouse, and a view of all of palm beach . From personal experience I suggest you bring your swimmers with you and leave them in the car, so that when you finish your walk you can go for a swim at the beach.

Picnic at Blueys point

If you are looking for a location to have your picnic, Blueys point is a good one. Not only does it get the afternoon sun but it has one of the most amazing views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Food ideas;

-Chicken

-Baguette

-Cracker, dip & cheese

-Chips

-Chocolate dipped strawberries

Clovelly

Clovelly Beach is situated in the eastern suburbs. It is a great place to be when the sun is out, it's hot and when you are in need of a refreshing swim. Whats different about clovelly is that on either sides of the bay their is concrete platform which you can choose to lay there. If you are thinking of going to Clovelly bring your snorkles and flippers as it is a great spot to go snorkling, but don't be afraid if you see a large gropper as he's a local named "Bluey".

The Grounds of Alexandria

The Grounds of Alexandria is located in Alexandria. There is a florist, cafe, a bakery located in the cafe, restaurant, and food stalls on the weekends which sell donuts, tarts etc. The atmosphere is great as well as the whole place being visually appealing.

Check out their website for more information http://thegrounds.com.au/ or their Instagram @thegrounds for more cool pics.

Wylies Baths

Wylies Baths can be found south of Coogee. I love going there because while you are sitting on the concrete platforms or on a beach chair, you can admire the view of the pacific ocean right in front of you. There is a small acess fee of $5.00 for an adult, $2.40 for a child, student or pensioner, however the experience you get is worth every cent.

Love B xx
