New Years Resolutions

At the begining of every year we all create resolutions for ourselves which we wish to achieve by the end of that year, however most of the time we don't even follow through with them (yes im guilty of this too). In 2015 my new year resolution was to give up chocolate and like you have probably already guessed....I failed, last year I set out to teach myself how to play the guitar and yet again i failed. You see the problem was I gave up too quickly. After one hour of trying to learn to play the guitar, I threw in the towel and didn't pick up the guitar again for the rest of that year. How poor is that! I didn't even give it another shot! New year resolutions are not suppose to be achieved in one day, its suppose to be something you work towards achieving. I get that we all want things instantly but the reality is we can't and that things take time. So if your resolution is to get fit, that is great and you should try your hardest to stick to that. Don't dive into it by running 20km on the first day, go slowly. Start with running 5km, then 8km and build your way up to your goal. Just keep in mind, you can do anything that you put your mind to so believe in yourself.

I am currently in year 12 and tend to recieve the same question "What do you want to do when you finish?". I find that a terrifying question as I have absolutely no clue what I want to do! But what I do know is what I love, for instance writing. As a result this has assisted me in what I made my 2017 resolution, to start a blog, hence what I am doing right now. In 2015 I did a weeks worth of work experience at 'Dolly Magazine' where I got the opportunity to write some articles. I enjoyed writing so much but never did anything about it. So I am going to go about this resolution differently to how I have previously gone about them. I'm going to slowly work on this blog through making regular posts and sharing my ideas, thoughts and opinions. If it gets tough I'm going to work hard not to give up and keep working on this blog.
So my advice to you all is to not be afraid of making new years resolutions, make your resolution achievable, enjoyable and don't give up after one day. Take your time, go slowly because lets be real, you have to whole year to achieve it
Love B xx
